Sneak Peak Wednesday
September 1, 2010this is a sneak peak of my new comic, which I will be rolling out in the next few weeks. I haven’t decided yet if I want to treat it with full color or make my life simpler (and cheaper to print) and keep it 2 color. Let me know what you think in the comments below.

OK, time to get technical: I am assuming she doesn’t know about the existence of this “Pandora Pastry” box as she’s driving by, right? If she is stopping because she is intrigued, I would probably want to see her looking around in P2 to ensure that no one’s looking and trying to stop her before she decides to open it, and probably looking behind her, away from the box. Maybe also see her through the window of the car in P1 (I assume it’s her car and she’s the one who drove there and stopped).
Technical stuff over. The two-tone coloring works nicely. I say try it w/o color for a while and see how it floats your boat. I went B&W w/ “Dawn’s Dictionary Drama” and haven’t missed working in color at all.
interesting — I’d not associated the car with the character at all. Just that it’s a car on a street
color – It certainly would save me time. The above would take several hours to properly color. Still torn… I definitely prefer color / designed the characters with color in mind
I didn’t think that it was her car, but I can see why one might think that…maybe have her little head in the background as she’s walking up the street, just visible over the box? Some way to show that she neither came from the car or materialized?
I kinda like the coloring the way it is…
But yeah, if definitely looks like the character is driving the car in P1. Also (nitpicking) the Fiat Nuovo 500 doesn’t go on sale in the US for another six months, minimum
@Meredith – I may stuff a silhouette across the street or put two people in the car
@Lovejoy – This was the best reference I could find last night, angle wise. Still not low enough but better than most mid-level car shots
(I think the reference comes from Forza3)
